Our
offices
have conducted since the1970's a large number of studies
to develop master plans for important urban centers such
as Saida and Zahleh as well as large agricultural areas.
Land Use and Master Plan for the town of
Qaa
and
its Region
Bekaa,
Lebanon. 2001
The project aimed at elaborating a new and properly
serviced subdivision scheme for the area of 220ha
that includes a number of villages as well as large parcels of
agricultural lands.
BTUTP responsibilities included the preliminary studies, final design,
and tender documents of the new parceling roads and
utilities schemes.
Land
Use and Master Plan for the Town of Saida and its
Suburbs
South
Lebanon. 1978-1979
The study aimed at developing a master plan for the city of
Saida and its suburbs, an area of around 200ha and a
population of 150,000 inhabitants.
The project lead to the development of a new road network, zoning and
land use provisions to protect the city's historic core
as well as agricultural areas in the vicinity. It also
included the development of recreational areas and a sea
front promenade.
BTUTP responsibilities included an extensive field survey, the
elaboration of a land use plan, a zoning scheme, and the
preliminary design of 150 km of roads and utilities.

Bypass
of Tripoli
Northern Lebanon.
1995-1998
The project objectives were the redevelopment of
the area along the highway corridor bypassing the city
of
Tripoli
and the reduction of the impact of the highway on the existing
environment, through a number of means, such as a land subdivision
scheme for an area of
1,030ha.
BTUTP responsibilities included the preliminary studies, final design,
and tender documents of the new parcels, roads and
utilities schemes.
The Project cost estimate is around 20 Millions USD.
